Hi and thanks for stopping by! Here you'll find all of the projects I worked on while I studied Game Design at Full Sail University. I hope you enjoy!
The Breach - Post Mortem
The Breach truly made me grow as a designer and project manager. We, as a team, faced a major hurtle halfway through our project. After the core mechanics of the game had been decided on and scripted, we began working on different levels of the game. Our main issue was that each of the 6 designers had envisioned their own version of the game and designed their levels around that vision. Once the levels were completed, we were forced to come to the realization that our concepts were not compatible with one another. We scraped a month of work and began from scratch by creating a common creative vision. I emphasized to the team that player progression shown through the introduction of new mechanics was vital to the overall player experience. I established meetings and had the whole team come together in the level layout process and puzzle development of the game. This collaboration allowed the game to move forward and once the levels and puzzles were designed, a science fiction space theme was incorporated. Bi-weekly team communication through meetings and continuous collaboration got us back on track and our game improved drastically because of it.
Scraps - Level Design
This is the level design that I developed during my midterm project at Full Sail University. The player starts off on the train tracks of the subway station and must establish power to the station with the end goal of repairing the train that is obstructing the way to the exit.
